Titusville, nicknamed the Space City, is one of the principal cities in Brevard County, Florida, along with Melbourne and Palm Bay. Its original name was ‘Sand Point’ but this was changed in 1873 when one of the founders, Colonel Henry T Titus, won the chance to name the city in a game of dominoes! The proximity of Titusville to the Kennedy Space Center makes the Space Program a strong focus of the culture of this community.

As for the history, this is no old-settlers kind of story. As we said, this is a planned community so it was developed and founded by the Viera Company, which is a subsidiary of the A. Duda and Sons Co. The new community got the ground broken in 1989, as the name Viera derived from the Slovak word “faith”, originally ‘viera’, in honor to Andrew Duda, who was a Slovakian immigrant. However, the place now emerges with a plethora of houses, offices, industrial parks, medical centers, recreational and shopping centers. Various schools, hospitals, children’s center and others own land here as many acres have been donated by the family.

This is a beautiful home with many improvements. It has a huge family room with a nice brick fireplace and an open kitchen with newer cabinets! Originally built as a 3 bedroom 1 bath home, it was later converted into a 4 bedroom home by enclosing the existing carport. The home has an open feel to it, tiled floors throughout, arched doorways with rounded corners, inside laundry room and a jetted bath tub – a nice touch! In the backyard, there’s a large patio, a working shower, shade trees and plenty of room to park a boat or an R/V. Many upgrades were made in 2007 and include double-pane aluminum (no rust) windows, sliding/interior doors, wiring and electrical panel, roof. The A/C was replaced in 2013. Overall, a great place to call home!

We focus on Frank and open discussion with our clients. We have found that, in this business, honesty is the best policy and strive to ensure that our clients receive the facts about their property directly. Agents who sugar-coat or gloss over the facts of a property quite frankly do not last in the real estate business. We are looking to build permanent and long-term relationships with our clients and we can only do that by proving the value of Real Estate Direct’s integrity.
